What is clinical mind body therapy?

Resource Therapy: Bringing the parts together

Have you ever fought the internal battle between eating that last slice of cake and giving it a miss because you’re trying to lose weight? Two parts within you have conflicting wants and it can be tough to make the right choice.

Resource Therapy (RT), the primary modality of Clinical Mind Body Therapy, is a ‘parts therapy’ that recognises that our personality is composed of different parts, resources or states. Those parts are our different resources – the things that help us achieve our goals and tasks every day.

Sometimes these different parts of our personality are useful and resourceful for us – and other times they are not. For example, perhaps you have found yourself saying ‘I wish I could stop wasting so much time on Facebook!’ or ‘I know it’s silly but I have to check the front door is locked twice before I can leave for work’.

Sometimes we have an unwanted emotion (a part of us) that keeps arising that is difficult to handle. Other times it is a behaviour (a part of us) that we no longer like that keeps reoccurring.

When our ‘parts’ are not operating well, that’s when we need help.

Perhaps there is a bad habit that gets in your way. Like always staying up late then sleeping through your 6am gym class, or missing opportunities at work because you’re fearful of speaking up. Maybe you don’t even know what it is – you just know you’re capable of more but there is something in the way.

It’s important to remember it’s not the whole person that has the issue – just part. RT works directly with the part of your personality that holds the problem.

Once the problem is diagnosed, a direct treatment plan is put in place and action steps are carried out to help that part of the personality become empowered and supported. This leads to a sense of relief and a new path forward.


What to expect?

A Clincial Mind Body Therapy session uses mainly Resource Therapy (RT) with the occasional use of NLP, TLT and Hypnosis therapies. A 1:1 session involves obtaining an understanding of your problem and required treatment plan for the issue.

From the very first session what ever you are ready to change can be addressed straight away. Further sessions will give you greater breadth and depth on the underlying causes of your problems. As each layer of the unwanted emotion or behaviour is addressed your personality parts return to a normal state. You will feel empowered, supported and free and begins to create ripple effect in transforming your life.

There are no limits to Clinical Mind Body Therapy. You will move through obstacles or blocks effectively. The process is simple and I’ll provide you will structure to make you accountable and an environment for your dreams to flourish.
